Within this document any reference made to ‘The parents’ are the parent(s), guardian(s) or responsible person/s for a child attending the Nursery and ‘the Nursery’ is Lime Tree Day Nursery.
The Nursery undertakes to
Allow for settling in time. The length required for this depends on the individual child, although this will involve at least one session
To provide an ‘open house’ policy that welcomes you at any time
Maintain a daily attendance register and record reasons for absence
Not allow anyone except yourself or an authorised person to collect your child
Plan a full curriculum in accordance with the EYFS
To be available to discuss with parents/carers their child’s progress and development
Keep contact numbers on register in case of emergencies
To administer medication only prescribed by a doctor (with the exception of Calpol.
To advise parents/carers of any infectious diseases or cases of head lice
Do our best to comfort children who are ill and contact parents/carers
Report any accidents/incidents that have occurred at the Nursery
Implement a policy of inclusion. We will help children develop an awareness of other cultures and have respect and tolerance for race and religion. Our policy details that children will be able to learn and develop in a non discriminatory environment.
Keep a file of written policies accessible to everyone.

The Nursery and parents/carers will undertake the following

Payment of fees
Fees charged are in accordance with children up to the term after their 3rd birthday. Thereafter a new agreement will be issued.
A £60.00 non refundable payment is required to cover child’s reserved space, pre-visits and admin.
Fees to be paid in advance. Fees must be paid in full the first day of each calendar month.
Payment of fees after the 7th of the month will result in a £25.00 late charge, added to your account
Fees are payable all year round without exception and regardless of attendance record. This includes all holidays and sickness. Fees are calculated using 51 weeks of the year.
Fees are subject to review. One (1) week’s notice will be given of any changes.
Payment of fees can be by cash, cheque or direct debit or via famly pay in the app
A 10% sibling discount will be applied for the eldest child
Your child’s place may be withdrawn if fees are not paid in full.
Change of Circumstances
Should you wish to reduce your child’s sessions we will require 4 weeks notice. Extra sessions can be booked ad hoc subject to availability and will be charged as extras.
Notice of removal
You are required to give 1 calendar months notice in writing if you wish to withdraw your contract. You are liable for all fees during the period of notice. If you do not provide the full notice period, we are unable to return the deposit made at the start of this contract.
Change of details
Parents are required to inform the Nursery of any changes of address, phone numbers or circumstances
Parents must provide two emergency contact numbers for their child. Contacts must be available at all times
Parents should agree a password which is personal to them, so any alternative collection arrangement can be checked and authorized.
Illness
Details of the immunisations your child has received should be given upon registration
Please contact the Nursery if your child has been in contact with any infectious disease or cases of head lice
Please contact us if your child is going to be absent, and let us know when they are likely to or will return
Children will not be able to attend the Nursery if they are deemed by the Nursery to be unwell
To give written authorisation to administer prescribed medication
If your child has suffered from sickness and/or diarrhoea they cannot attend Nursery until a period of 48 hours has passed since onset
Please inform us of any medical equipment used by your child. (inhalers, epiPens)
Collection
Please inform the Nursery if you cannot collect your child and give details of who will be collecting. Children will not be permitted to leave the building with an unknown adult or minor under 16 years of age
Identification should be given to the Nursery staff if a different person is to collect your child, along with a password agreed by all
If details of change of person are sent via e-mail, a follow up phone call from the Nursery Management to confirm will be made
Children will not be allowed to leave the Nursery with anyone who appears to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol
Every effort should be made to collect your child on time. Continual lateness will be charged for
Loss/damage
All personal items brought into the Nursery (valuables, medicines, clothing and footwear) should be marked with the child’s name
The Nursery cannot accept liability for loss or damage to clothing or personal property
For children over three years
In order to claim free government funding you will need to
Provide a copy of your child’s birth certificate.
Sign a PSOU form each term (provided by Lime Tree) indicating which sessions you will be claiming for.
Funding monies will be offered for 38 weeks per year. Cost per hour will be at the discretion of the Government.
Additional hours, non term time hours, and food will be charged for.
Fees will be calculated termly and divided into 4 to give regular monthly totals.
For children attending term time (only available with prior agreement with Lime Tree) fees will be calculated accordingly.
Should you be offered a term time only place, it cannot be guaranteed for longer than the specific term agreed.
